Salesforce System Administrator

Role Description:

Setup, configuration and maintenance of Salesforce environments for development and production deployment. Managing user setup, security and access controls and release management of Salesforce solutions.  Ensuring availability and configuration of environments for development, demos, testing and production deployment. Monitoring utilization of system and resource limits.


  • Setup, configuration and maintenance of Salesforce environments and sandboxes
  • Manage upgrades and refresh of environments and sandboxes
  • Manage user setup, roles and profiles for configuring data security and access controls 
  • Release management of solutions from development to test and production environments
  • Manage the setup, release management and deployment as per Salesforce DX recommendations
  • Setup and manage data loading and data migration activities for environment setup
  • Engage with project PM, Technical Lead and developers for the required environment setup
  • Monitor system performance and utilization of system and resource limits
  • Configure and deploy standard and custom reports, dashboards and snapshots
  • Ensure required testing and test coverage norms are met during deployments to production
  • Co-ordinate with Technical lead, customer’s IT teams for testing and deployment of solutions
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues / errors
  • Manage and maintain the demo configurations and demo environments to support presales
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Salesforce products / solutions 
  • Conduct technical workshops / sessions for internal teams to share knowledge internally 

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Highly motivated resource with excellent technical knowledge and communications skills
  • Solid technical knowledge of Salesforce products and solutions – preferred Sales, Service, Field Service, Einstein Analytics, Communities
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience on Visualforce, Apex, Lightning component framework, SLDS, Workflows, Process builder, SOQL and SOSL queries
  • Hands-on experience in setting up users, roles, profiles, access and security controls, reports, dashboards, snapshots, email services
  • Setup, upgrades and maintenance of various environments and sandboxes including sandbox refresh, creating and synchronizing sandbox metadata and data sets.
  • Deployments using Salesforce Change sets and ANT migration tool.
  • Knowledge/Experience in SFDX and CI/CD processes
  • Knowledge of Development tools, IDEs, and configuration management and version control tools
  • Data Migration and data loading using Data Loader, Import Wizard / other data migration tools
  • Experience of 1-3 years with atleast 1 years of Salesforce admin / developer experience
  • Sound understanding of Salesforce development best practices, architecture standards and SFDX
  • Must have Salesforce Certification(s) – Administrator and Platform Developer I
  • Team player. Works collaboratively with delivery and presales teams

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience of Einstein Analytics reports and Dashboards
  • Experience of AppExchange product development and AppExchange guidelines
  • Experience on projects integrated with other Salesforce products / solutions e.g. Einstein Analytics, Marketing, Mulesoft, Heroku, Tableau
  • Experience of working and engaging with customers in Europe, Middle East and India regions
  • Experience in Financial Services, Health, Government, Retail/CG industries for enterprise customers
